Youtube Scams!? Of all places >_>

Journal Entry: Tue Jul 22, 2008, 10:30 AM
Of all the places to get scammed, I never expected it from Youtube. Apparently, people create accounts to send you a Private Message, saying things and giving a link.

Someone PM'ed me the other day. His user name was Dyravaxob, and this was the message he sent me.

*********
DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK
*********

aloha

Hey I've just found cool website with latest top HITS and soundtracks in MP3.
Hope you'll like it =)

[link]

*********

I clicked on his username... and guess what? His account was suspended. I got another one the other day, but I didn't realize that it was a scam and I clicked on the link... but nothing I know of happened (I heard they might of gave me Spybots, so I use my Spybot removal thingy to get rid of them if there was one).

I don't understand why I am being targeted, but I guess they saw a comment of mine and decided they were going to Spam me I guess.

Anyone else been getting such weird messages?

Your friendly neighborhood Thieves...

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 20, 2008, 1:33 AM
When we moved to this house about a year ago, we thought the neighbor hood was pretty good... but it turns out, we were dead wrong. Not only did we find out that the road we live on is considered the... well, I'm not sure how to word it, but maybe Low-Economic neighbor hood, but it's apparently also infested with thieves.

We have been a victim to theft two times, as far as I know. The first time, and don't ask me why, they stole one of our outside ceramic glass ball thingies. We never saw it again. Then, a few days ago... and you aren't going to believe this... someone stole a tree out of our back yard! A growing tree about 4ft tall, they actually dug it up and took off with it... but at least they filled the hole back up for us o_O.

Now, today, another theft happened in the neighborhood. We weren't the victims thankfully, but regardless they did strike again. This time, they stole two items; A cheap plastic post that can hold a plant pot or a bird bath top, and a young kid's bicycle. Fortunately though, my brother and his friend that is staying all night were outside at the time, and the two thugs were going down the alley. They were bragging about what they stole, and my brother yelled out to them "CAUGHT YOU LITTLE F*beep*ERS IN THE ACT!". They panicked (Three actually) and threw the bike and the post in our yard, and hi-tailed it out of there (in separate directions unfortunately). The police couldn't find them, which we all expected, so I'm sure they will undoubtedly be back (and may even retaliate against us for catching them in the act).

I think I know the kids who did it, but I can't confirm it because it's a slight hunch. Back at October 31st, 2007, some kids trick-or-treating without costumes came up to our house, were displeased with what they got, and threw it back at the house. I have a feeling that it was some of them, especially this "Colt" kid who is a brat.

So, now we have to deal with stupid (I mean that in both ways) thieves who steal random things. Something defiantly needs to be done, because this is utter bull... well, you know what.

My Wall-E Review

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 11, 2008, 11:25 AM
I saw Wall-E the other day, and I have to day, it's a great movie! While I don't think it's the best I've ever seen, but it's still a great movie for all ages, and I suggest that if you have the chance to see it, do.

The story is about Wall-E, in which the movie is named after. I believe (but not sure) that he's the only Wall-E unit left on Earth, after raising taxes and things like resulted in their World Restoration project coming to a complete halt. People began to live on Colonies out in space, and after 700 years of Earth being too filthy, humans continued to reside on Space Colonies, forgetting that Earth even existed.

The movie's Wall-E doesn't know about the failed project, and continues his job of cleaning up the world. Oddly enough, Wall-E began to act differently... he started to become, I guess you could say, human in mind. He started to get curious of life, collecting oddities that he found and keeping them in a Wall-E containment trailer. Wall-E, like any lonely soul, began to become lonely, and wanted to have a companion like he saw in one of his movies (he has a TV in which he can play old movies).

Then, one day, a ship arrived on earth, and left an E.V.E. unit behind. The E.V.E. unit was scanning various parts of the earth, trying to find something. When Wall-E made a noise, E.V.E. tried to destroy the noise by using it's advanced sniping laser gun (barely missing Wall-E). Eventually, Wall-E presented itself, and after E.V.E. scanned it and found that he wasn't a threat, E.V.E. ignored it mostly. Wall-E fell in love with E.V.E., and after a while, E.V.E. was curious about Wall-E. After Wall-E showed a plant to E.V.E. (the last plant probably left on earth), E.V.E. took the plant inside of itself, and went into a Hibernation Mode. Wall-E couldn't wake up E.V.E., and cared for it until it woke up... but E.V.E. never did.

Finally, the ship that left E.V.E. came back and took back the E.V.E. unit (showing that apparently multiple E.V.E. units were dispatched). Wall-E, thinking that the ship was taking E.V.E. away took chase towards the ship, latching itself to the ship so that it could take him wherever it was taking E.V.E..

That's all I'm going to reveal for now.

*****************************

The movie was really entertaining, and always had me keeping my eyes on it. There's not much talking, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would turn out. You follow Wall-E throughout the whole story, from Earth to a space colony (I'm not sure they are actually called that, I'm just using that as their name since I used to watch Gundam Wing).

One thing that I was really impressed with, was the animation. The animation was stellar, absolutely beautiful to look at! The backgrounds, dust, the robots, everything was really terrific. The only complaint about the graphics were the humans. In some parts of the movie (concerning past videos), they had real human actors, including the President. For some reason, they decided to mold the humans into a more cartoony look. It's confusing why they would have a real human actor, then use cartoon ones after that... That's basically my only major complaint in the whole thing.

The music was really nice in the movie. The starting song was sort of strange, but everything else, to songs that you'd hear on the radio, to ones they made, to even using a piece from "2001: A Space Odyssey", were all used really well, and enjoyable to hear. The movie used a technique that was used when Star Wars IV first came out, and that was using synthetic sounds for the robots voices. Although I'm not exactly sure about this, but I believe everthing from Wall-E's cries to E.V.E.'s talking were all synthetic.

One thing that I didn't have a problem with, but others might if they don't get it the first time is that all the humans in the future are all fat. Being a fat guy, I didn't find it offensive, because I found out why they were all like that. If you pay attention, you should be able to see why it's like that, but if you miss it, some might leave the theatre offended (while others will probably laugh >_>;).

Overall, the movie was a really great movie. It has some quirks here and there, but defiantly a great movie for the whole family. I'm sure everyone will be in awe over the animation, and will instantly fall in love with Wall-E and E.V.E., as well as the charm of every other robot that is included. You don't want to miss this movie! :D

Pro's~
- Great Story
- Great Animation
- Characters that you can fall in love with.

Con's~
- Unless you pay attention, parts of the movie might be considered "Offensive".
- Some parts could of been executed better, but really aren't bothersome.
- Use of real humans then using cartoon humans just doesn't make sense.

Overall Score~
8.5/10 (that score may change once I see it again)

My Kung Fu Panda Review (May contain Spoilers)

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 6, 2008, 10:11 PM
I had the opportunity to go and see Kung Fu Panda on it's opening day, and though it probably won't be named the best animated movie of the year, it is still a good movie to go see.

==============
Animation
==============
First off, lets talk about the animation. The animation was really wonderful actually. It may not push the boundaries of animation, but it is still really nicely done. The fur details on the characters look nice, effects were great, everything.

==============
Story (MINOR SPOILERS)
==============

Now, lets talk about the story. The story was strange, but witty and whimsical. Po, the main character of our story, works at a noodle shop with his "Father" who is actually a duck (obvious that he is adopted, but Po doesn't know that, and his father never told him). Po doesn't like working at the noodle shop, but continues to do so, because he doesn't want to hurt his father's feelings.

Po begins to have dreams that he, along with the five warriors, are all powerful, defending china, and so forth. He idolizes the 5 warriors, whom each represent the five main types of Kung Fu; Crane, Mantis, Monkey, Snake, and Tiger. Unfortunately for Po, he is not fit into being a Kung Fu master... both physically (because he is over-weight) and mentally (Thinks Kung Fu is nothing but a game).

Now, the main master head guy, Oogway had a premonition; That Tai Lung (bad guy) will escape from his prison bonds. In case such a thing would happen, the master of the Jade temple (Shifu) and Oogway decide to try and find the Dragon Master, who will be able to defeat Tai Lung.

Hearing about this, the town heads for the temple to see who is named the Dragon Master. Po, also reluctant to see the Dragon Master, heads up to the temple as well. After getting locked out (by accident) and trying to find his way in, he stumbles into the middle of the stadium, in which Oogway deems him the Dragon Master. Outraged, Shifu tries his hardest to get Oogway to change his mind, assuring him that naming Po was a mistake. Oogway does not, saying that "Nothing happens by accident" and continues to name Po the Dragon Master.

That's all I'm going to say for right now. I don't want to spoil any more.

To me, the story is pretty good. It's filled with things like "Never giving up" and "Size or (whatever) doesn't matter, its the heart that counts" and things like that. It may not of been the best of stories, but I don't think I'd honestly have it any other way.

(MINOR SPOILERS END)

===============
Music
===============

Of coarse the music is wonderful, it was made by none other than Hans Zimmer himself! He's done such awesome work, like his works done in the Pirates of the Caribbean series (he even did some music for my favorite animated movie, Over The Hedge). The music fits in, never taking away from the exitement of a battle, or the tranquility of a town.

===============
How was it executed?
===============

This is my only problem with the movie, is how some things were executed (how it was done, not how people died lol). There's a nasty habit that DreamWorks has been getting into, and that is "Slo-Mo". For my tastes, there's just way too much of it. If they use Slo-Mo during an action scene, that creates a dramatic scene, but using it in Comedy (more than 3 times or more) just seems... misplaced. Almost twice in a row they used it in one scene; Po was trying to eat a dumpling, and Shifu kept taking it away from him, but they used Slo-Mo right before it (almost) entered his mouth... It just didn't seem funny.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~MAJOR SPOILERS BEGIN HERE! SKIP TO END OF SPOILERS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One other thing that bothered me was how the "Final Battle" was executed. While it doesn't disappoint, it doesn't deliver either. You have an awesome battle against Shifu and Tai Lung, with a storm happening outside, both fighters are being thrown from one end of the temple to the other, and much more awesomeness that forces you to never want to take your eyes off of it... but then comes along Po, and when he is in a scene, comedy has to follow. His last battle was just... different. The first thing that bothered me was yet another Slo-Mo (showing Po running away from Tai Lung). Then the next part was how Po sat on top of Tai Lung's head with his butt... and then tightened his pants to where you could see his butt-crease through his pants... those two scenes were the most distasteful in the whole movie, to the point where I wish they weren't in the movie. Last, when Po defeats Tai Lung... he just seems to disappear. Unless I'm mistaken, Po defeats Tai Lung, Po greets the people (because he emerged victorious), then Tai Lung is completely ignored from there after. Did he run away? Is he laying in the road still? Did he just happen to get up and say "Dayumn, you're powerful, I'm going home!" and that's that? They might of done that to leave us open for a sequel... but still.
~~~~~~~~~~~~MAJOR SPOILERS END HERE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One thing I have to add, is that the ending was rather quick... but still, there were so many good points throughout the whole story, that it somewhat doesn't bother me. There were some twists that I didn't expect (which I won't say)

================
Overall...
================

Overall, I wasn't disappointed with Kung Fu Panda. There were parts that should have been worked on, but I was happy with what I saw. If they do make a part 2, you can bet that I will be in theatres that day to see it :D. I found most of the characters very cute, very likable. I say that this is a movie the family should see (or individually, either way go see it ;D )

Pro's=
- Awesome characters you have to like
- Nice Art style
- Witty story that is easy to follow but complex at the same time
- Great Music

Con's=
- Some voices just didn't fit in... Lucy Lui didn't really seem to work for me, and Tai Lung's voice didn't fit at all... he sounded too much like a gentle-man type... not the rough guy I was expecting.
- Ending wasn't all I had hoped for.
- Some effects were out of place (whenever they hit a point on the body in which paralyzes you, a extruding circle would appear... felt out of place). Also, Po's final attack was more out of place... somehow, a small attack caused a large shockwave... wish that had been taken out as well.

OVERALL SCORE

8/10

Please comment if you liked, or disagreed.

Note- Hopefully, the next movie I will be reviewing is "Wall-E". I'm looking forward to that :D

lol It's been a strange week so far. Someone on IMDB argued with me that my sentences grammar was horrible, then made mistakes himself... I've played a game called IWBTG or "I Wanna Be The Guy", and I've had a doozy of a time trying to finish it (still haven't yet)... What next?

I recieved a nasty letter from some guy just last Wednesday... For some reason, because I had some Zelda video's on my Youtube account, that infuriated him. He sent me a letter, saying things like "Your Family should die", "I want to hunt you down and murder you", and "You should burn in Hell!", among other things...

Well, turns out he was mad at some other people too, and I think he was just using that as an excuse... He also attacked another friend of mine... but do you know what the worst part was? He somehow got a hold of his friends password to his account on this Website his friend created... Why is that so bad? Well, because his friend was the Main Administrator... meaning he now had the power to do ANYTHING he wanted to his message board... and he took advantage of it. He deleted every account besides his own, and left it like that... so now it only had two members (the main admin and his actual account)... I really felt sorry for what had happened to that guys message board (since that guy is a friend of mine too)... I just hope that he can recover.

What an odd week, ehh?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I haven't drawn anything here lately... I've tried, but I haven't drawn in such a long time, so it came out sloppy. I've been meaning to draw some characters for a while; Longhorn from Freakazoid (he's a cool character :D), General Vermin from Battletoads the Arcade version (I think they are cool looking... I also feel so sorry for them too... if you've played the arcade version, you know what I'm talking about), Cody Maverick from Surf's Up (for a friend), Reggie from Surf's Up (because he's awesome too), among other characters... I need to get busy :D
Well, have fun everybody! Hope your week will go better than the strange one my friends and I are having.
