Here's a character I've been meaning to draw for a long time! I'm glad I finally got around to it.
His name is Bobblun, a character from the well-known franchise "Bubble Bobble". He has a brother named "Bubblun", who pretty much looks exactly like him, only green (later games would introduce another character; a red dragon known as "Bubu"). In the majority of the games, the Green Dragon is always the first player, while the second player always controls his blue counterpart. As such, unless there's a second player, Bobblun will either be nowhere to be found, or will be waiting at the bottom-right corner, asking and awaiting for a second player to push a button so he can join in.
Even though I'm a fan of both, I've always liked the blue dragon the most out of the two, though there's a good reason why; as a child, whenever I'd play these type of two-player games with my family, I'd always be player two, while my dad, mother, or brother were always player one. As such, I came to like the blue dragon more over the years, and it's also why I came to like other "Second fiddle" characters from other games as well (for example, Tales from the Sonic games, Luigi from the Mario games, etc.). Funnily enough, even without a second player next to me, I still end up playing as Bobblun from time-to-time (rather, I pick up the second controller and just let the green dragon die until he's gone for good
As for the look of the bubble dragon, most of you probably won't recognize it. That's because I decided to go with the style found in the Game Boy Advance release, which is called "Bubble Bobble: Old and New". I'm not exactly sure why, but it's my favorite look for the bubble dragons out of all the games. If you've never seen this version of the game (which, if I had to guess, is probably all of you), take a look at it here;
Anyhoo, hope you like the picture, and as usual, if there's anything I can do to improve it, let me know!
I actually submitted this image one day earlier, but I removed it because I noticed a big problem and I felt it needed repaired. You can see that old, un-repaired version of this image here...i1262.photobucket.com/albums/i…
And in case anyone's curious, here's some other fan-art I made for the Bubble Bobble name~
